CEO of Kish Merchants and Traders Association: Prioritizing Entrepreneurial Motivation on the Kish Island
According to RooykardKish News Network,Rahman Sadat Najafi, CEO of the Kish Merchants and Traders Association, emphasized the critical role of entrepreneurs in wealth creation and helping the country navigate its current economic challenges.
Speaking at an entrepreneurship gathering at the University of Applied Science in Kish, he stated that motivating business innovators and entrepreneurs should be the highest priority for decision-makers on Kish Island.
Najafi also addressed the perceived lack of support from national-level authorities towards free zones, noting that 70% of the law governing these zones remains unimplemented. He argued that fully implementing this law would enable the entire country to benefit from the advantages offered by free zones.
He contrasted the untapped potential of Iranian free zones with the progress made by neighboring countries, highlighting them as unique opportunities for creating and expanding businesses. He urged authorities to support entrepreneurs, whom he called “wealth creators,” and to provide incentives for business innovators to prevent valuable talent and ideas from leaving the country.
Najafi further underscored the necessity of establishing robust business frameworks, citing the Kish Merchants and Traders Association as a model.
He mentioned that it serves as a successful example of institutionalization and is being replicated in other free zones across the country.
Additionally, he pointed out the shortage of skilled human resources in Kish Island’s business sector, highlighting the crucial role universities play in mitigating this gap.
According to Najafi, such meetings are valuable for students before they venture into the business world.
He announced that the Kish Merchants and Traders Association is prepared to familiarize students with successful business processes on the island.
