
Ports of Laft, Aftab, and Charak on the Route of Free Zone Vehicle Traffic
Special representatives of the Hormozgan Governor visited the ports of Charak, Aftab, Laft, Kish, and Qeshm to review and evaluate pier and port infrastructures.
According to Rouykard Kish, citing Sobh-e Sahel, Mohammad Kamali, Director General of the Governor’s Office, and Adel Shahrzad, Deputy Governor for Economic Coordination of Hormozgan Province, accompanied by a delegation of provincial and local officials, conducted field visits to the aforementioned ports to assess the status of berthing infrastructure, unloading facilities, and the movement of free zone vehicles.
The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the existing capacities and facilities of the province’s ports in order to facilitate the issuance of permits for the traffic of vehicles with free zone license plates across Hormozgan Province.
Summarizing the visit, Mohammad Kamali stated that the pier capacities of the ports of Charak, Aftab, Kish, and Qeshm were thoroughly reviewed, adding that promising capabilities were observed in these ports which, with integrated planning and targeted investment, could be developed into major logistics and service hubs in the province.
He emphasized that the Hormozgan Governorate, in cooperation with relevant executive agencies, will make every effort to remove obstacles and accelerate the implementation of complementary projects in order to enable the rapid and effective utilization of these capacities.
