According to Rooykard Kish News Network, the CEO of Kish Free Zone Organization Dr. Rahim Sarhangi hailed the new terminal at Kish International Airport as a crucial step in completing ongoing projects and advancing the growth of the Persian Gulf island of Kish.
The inauguration of Iran’s first smart passenger terminal at Kish International Airport has marked a significant milestone in the development of tourism infrastructure on the Persian Gulf island.
Dr. Sarhangi officially opened the new terminal in an official ceremony attended by a number of Iranian officials including Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Mehrdad Bazrpash on Tuesday.
Spanning over 40,000 square meters on 4 floors and standing over 31 meters above sea level, the terminal is a marvel of modern engineering. With 48 passenger reception desks, a smart passenger baggage transfer system, 12 elevators, and a parking lot with a capacity of 520 cars, it is poised to elevate the island’s status as a premier tourist destination.

The CEO of KFZO described the newly inaugurated terminal as a national priority and credited the terminal’s impressive features to the expertise of specialists and the utilization of domestic technical knowledge.

“The businesses of this area are highly affected by the land and air routes, and effective steps should be taken in order to properly host the domestic and foreign tourists…”, he concluded.
